Christianity is a relationship between God and humankind, where Jesus serves as Savior and Advocate. (1 Tim 2:5; 1 John 2:1) Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian any more than swimming in the ocean makes you a fish. Going to church is proof the relationship is important.
