We Need You

Oh God, we cry out to You!

     Oh, God, hear our prayers!

“Seek ye first…,” you said.

     Today, Lord, we seek You.

For our heartfelt groans…

     You provide a throne of grace.

As the deer pants for water…

     You satisfy its thirst.

As the flower grows in the garden….

     You bring the morning sun.

As the baby cries from hunger…

     You bring mother’s milk.

As the shepherd tends his flocks…

     You provide green pastures.

As the poor struggle with need…

     You make provision.

As the naked hide their shame…

     You provide robes for a wedding.

For our indecipherable need(s)…

     You provide peace.

We claim You, Jehovah Jireh.

     “the God who provides”.
